　　《中国通信》创刊于2004年，期刊总编辑为两院院士、北京邮电大学教授陈俊亮。2008年起，应广大读者需求期刊由纯英文版变更为中英文双语版。中英文刊的出版目标是成为我国通信行业最具影响力的，有学术特色的综合性期刊。中英文刊立足于我国信息通信业发展大局，积极开展海内外学术交流，及时反映海内外最新研究成果。

　　《中国通信》(ChinaCommunications)(月刊)是由中国科学技术协会主管，在工业和信息化部的指导下，由中国通信学会主办的高层次学术期刊。《中国通信》邀请国内外通信领域极具权威、极具影响力的学者专家组成编辑委员会，共同塑造高水平、优质量、高学术价值的期刊。

　　《中国通信》肩负着促进我国信息通信行业学术地位的提升，促进国内外学术交流，弘扬自主创新精神等重要使命，代表着中国通信学术界与产业界的水平，具有很强的权威性和广泛的国际影响力。

　　2007年，《中国通信》被科学引文索引扩展版(SCIE)收录，正式成为全球顶级SCI源期刊。2008年，中国通信学会与国际电气和电子工程师协会通信分会(IEEEComSoc)就《中国通信》倡议合作签署了谅解备忘录。

　　《中国通信》详实地向读者介绍国内外信息与通信领域学术研究、科技成果、业务应用、动态等。
