《应用生物化学与微生物学》是一本具有或可能具有实际应用价值的国际同行评议期刊，发表有关生物化学与微生物学的原创文章。研究内容包括:酶及其酶促反应机理、低分子和高分子生理活性化合物的生物合成;它们的结构和性能研究;生物发生及其调控途径;生物活性化合物生产者的代谢、有机合成中的生物催化、微生物的应用遗传学、应用酶学;蛋白质与代谢工程、植物免疫生化基础、生化与免疫化学分析应用等方面;外源性物质的生物降解;生物传感器;生物医学研究(没有临床研究)。除了实验作品，该杂志还出版了对新研究技术的描述和对选定主题的评论。
APPLIED BIOCHEMISTRY AND MICROBIOLOGY期刊英文简介
Applied Biochemistry and Microbiology is an international peer reviewed journal that publishes original articles on biochemistry and microbiology that have or may have practical applications. The studies include: enzymes and mechanisms of enzymatic reactions, biosynthesis of low and high molecular physiologically active compounds; the studies of their structure and properties; biogenesis and pathways of their regulation; metabolism of producers of biologically active compounds, biocatalysis in organic synthesis, applied genetics of microorganisms, applied enzymology; protein and metabolic engineering, biochemical bases of phytoimmunity, applied aspects of biochemical and immunochemical analysis; biodegradation of xenobiotics; biosensors; biomedical research (without clinical studies). Along with experimental works, the journal publishes descriptions of novel research techniques and reviews on selected topics.
